It depends on what kind of target shooting you do, For Field Target I would recommend something like the Daystate MKIII or the Air Arms Pro Target. For 10m target shooting there are open sighted anschutz and Feinwurkbau rifles that are all extremely accurate. All come in .177 the difference is the FT rifles are 12 ft/lbs and the 10m target rifles are about 6 ft/lbs -

I don't really do a spacific kind of shooting - I like to take my rifle out with me for the day with some coke cans or something. Then I set them up from all different distances - usually anything from 10 feet to 100 feet. -

eventually you reach a plateau. in it, all the rifles are x-ring accurate, but they each have something that makes it stand out. for example,
the FWB603 is a one-pump, and the FWBp70 is a pcp. both are fly crushers, but if you dislike having to lug around a scuba tank, the 603 may be for you. you want an air compressor to do the work, buy a p70. or maybe one has more adjustments, or add-ons, or better placed components, yadda yadda. one thing is for sure- when you get to this plateau, you will be ecstatic with them all. they are all flawless. you just pick which flawless you like best. if you are going to be plinking, i think you are looking in the wrong direction. they are heavy, and these rifles are going to cost anywhere from $1500 to infinity. the 603 and p70 sell for, i think, about 2k.
it really not that much when looked at in perspective, but 2k will set you back. if all you are looking for is a very accurate airgun, any pcp
will suit you. they are all accurate. maybe a talon or talon SS? plenty of shots to take from that huge tank, and i hear from a few people that the trigger is acceptable. they run for something like $450-$500. -

probably any of the popular FT rifles, AA pro-target, daystate mk 3, steyr, ripley AR's, they are all pretty accurite, the best gun is whatever most suits you. -

All the guns ya'll have mentioned are fine, high quality rifles. But if you want something fun, cheap, and that will hold its own or better any rifle above shot for shot at 10 meters go out and get yourself an IZH61 for 100 bucks. I have 3 now and they never cease to amaze me. I know, their ugly as sin and folks don't take 'em seriously but pick an Izzy up and win yourself some 10 meter bets at your range!-(make the bets small--your buddies ~WILL~ be mad!!*lol*)......S -

Haha ok might do that. Since this thread was started, I've bought a Webley Longbow and this will be good for target work once I get a V - Mach kit for it.
