Women Getting Paid More Than Men

What is the craic with Wimbledon paying the same prize money to men & women champions this year?

The women only play 3 sets to the mens 5, so pro rata they are getting quite a lot more dosh than than their male counterparts, "change is not good" has a good yorkshire man would say & this just proves it, equality gone too far in my opinion.

I know a lot of the women are pleasing to the eye, but why should they get paid the same for doing less, unless of course they are putting on a spread afterwards & doing all the washing up

If they play best of 5 then I've got no problem with it - most of them could probably beat Tiger Tim anyway.



As long as our female football players don't get silly and start demanding £100K a week then I think we'll be ok.

It all depends on advertising revenue doesn't it. The amount of money that the sport generates determines how well the players get paid. Seems fair to me as things stand. Referring to the tennis the mens game attracts larger audiences and generates bigger revenues so therefore it makes sense that they get paid more. Plus there is also the 5 set thing
