It seems to me that any high powered pistol i find out about is just a toy gun.Now i thought that guns such as the co2 powered walther cp88 and the desert eagle were high powered. So can anybody tell me the name of a high powered pistol?

Frankly, I think all air guns should not be treated as toy. Especially, the high powered ones.
I have read some articles on the Internet regarding the Daisy 880 and 856, they can do some serious damage and even death!Even for the lower power ones, it is possible to cause blindness if mishandled.

True, I'm not sure how you are using the term "high powered" here. Not even a BB gun is a "toy". There are pistols like the springers that hit harder than others and so on, but none are "toys".

Frankly, sometimes lower powered air gun might caused more accident than the high power ones. Due to the users didn't treat it with respect. It might not be fatal, but it is surely dangerous and painful to other people. When I was young I shot my sister on her hand accidentally with low power 6mm plastic bb gun. I felt so sorry and after that day I treat all air guns with great respect like a real gun. Never point a gun to any person (even it is unloaded).

If you bare in mind that it only takes about 5 ft/lbs of power to kill a fully grown rabbit most high end air pistols have more power than this. It wont take anymore power than that to kill a human or cause seriouse blindness etc.
When using airsoft and airpistols at a target that isnt a pellet catcher I always intend to wear safety glasses If I can. This is not always possible but I normally fire at a pellet catcher anway.

Even if you think you don't need them, it's always worth wearing a pair of goggles just in case. (Especially if you're exploding glass bottles from 20 or so feet).
