I saw the Crosman C11 CO2 power pistol on the website which claim to have max velocity of 480 fps and the price is kind of cheap... anyone has comment on this pistol?

    hi,

the crossman c11 canot reach 480 fps. the highest is probably 412. the pistol in general is poor in terms of build and quality, thus being so cheap. i don not reccomend this pistol as it is a waste of monoey.

Have you shot this pistol or are you guessing click click? cheap and inexpensive are too different words. Crosman has always worked just fine for me. I shoot a model 1377, paid $50 for it and it will shoot with the best. I'd like to try the C11, then give you all a factual report, stay tuned

the airsoft pistol is 350, but the real steel does get up to 480. from what he says, it looks like a good pistol. in this case, because the frame is for shooting steel bbs, the airsoft version might hold up. the airsoft version will definitely have more shots per powerlet, because you dont need much to push an ultra-light ball of plastic out the muzzle, unlike those heavy steel bbs. if its plinking, the airsoft version may be the better choice, both because of the extra shots, and because the ricochet will be much less.

Thanks Bubba, Frankly Crosman also works fine for me... (with good quality). I have just not seen a real C11 before. So all I can do is the gather as many information as possible before getting one...

I was always tricked by the nice picture taken on the website... just like those from Daisy...

Starling thanks for your information, I didn't know there is an airsoft version for the C11. Honestly, for the airsoft (6mm bbs). I will go for the Japanese or Taiwanese. It uses the pressurized "cooking gas" to propel the bbs (same way refilling a lighter). The power is lower than the CO2, but it is cheaper. If the airsoft C11 can only generate 350fps I will definitely go for the Japanese or Taiwanese like the KJW MK1 which can goes up to 450fps with 0.2g BBs. http://www.airsoftezone.com/.sc/ms/dd/ee/288/KJW%20MK1%20Gas%20Non-Blowback%20Pistol

Airsoft guns are not bad, it is widely use for war games. Except for the 6mm 0.2g or even 0.3g bbs are easily blown away or blown off course by mild wind. No matter how good you are it is just hard to hit anything in a distance. If you use a heavier bb, even compensated with the hop up system, it is just can't fight the gravity. And I doubt if the airsoft CP11 has hop up system.

Anyway, without a doubt the 0.45mm steel bb version will definitely be a better one. Just hope to get more comment on it.

    Thanks again!

    Hi everyone,

I bought this gun few days ago and I am quite satisfied with it. The price is low and what you get is what you paid for , but in this case actually you get a very good deal.

For C11 there are many factors that helps the performance, and long life of this gun. Make sure you use Pellgunoil from the first day you use this gun, because it protects the seal and valve of the CO2 part of the gun and increase the performance.
Second , use very high quality steel BBs ( Don't use Corsman BBs cause they dont have perfect finish ) I use Daisy Premium BBs which are great. I tried Gamo BBs but they are bit heavier that don't perform as good as Daisy.
Because this main material in this gun is Plastic so you need to be gentle with it. the Barrel is metal however using bad BBs can damage it.
Don't expect too much from this gun and remmeber price you paid for it. I believe the value is very good for what I got and I shall enjoy the gun alot.
Remember Pellgunoil !! It really works!
