Douglas Precision sells a bunch of steel targets! They are great. I have purchased from them a couple times. www.douglasprecision.com has anyone else? -

I havent bought any of his steel targets. They do look good though maybe I'll buy one or two.
I personally like to improvise my targets out of old junk so that I dont have to spend lots of money on targets that I'm going to shoot to bits anway

Well, I haven't had any problems with their targets. And their guarentee is what hooked me!! They will guarentee it for life if you shoot it right (don't mis use it). The man who makes them is great to work with and they ship pretty speedy too!
I'd highly recommend them.

maye you should post this on the Airgun section, I'm sure my fellow airgunners would like to know. Some of them have powder burners to. -

I usually shoot .22 Cal. Rifles. My family makes our own guns.
My father and grandfather started shooting competitively in the 80's in CA.. And my G-F really got into it and started having his own rifles custom made. My father is a machinest and he now makes his own barrels. I have shot air guns before but there's just something about powder that is much more satisfying!
What about you? -

Theres quite alot so be prepared for a long read llol
I started out with my dads old airpistol and got hooked from the first shot, I eventually got my first underpowred airgun and it progressed into my first full powred springer then a PCP I eventually sold that and got a high end PCP rifle. When I was 12 I got my first shotgun on my own licence. I still have that same 12 bore 3 and a half years later. I now have an FAC on the way with two rifles. One for sport and one Anschutz target rifle for my national shooting competitions etc.
In the Cadets I have used everything from .177 air rifles, 7.62 Long range target rifles to light support weapons in 5.56. I have since gone on a week long course and have become an SCI (Senior Cadet Instructor) and I am now qualified to teach all people need to know about the cadet genaral purpose rifles the light support weapons and baisically everything we have in our armory among my other drill, field craft, military dress / turnout, baisic and advanced military knowlage, camoflauge and concealment. The list goes on.
Hope your eyes don't hurt lol
I have competed in small .22 target rifle competitions and have taken part in national and international full bore competitions set from 300, 500 and 600 M distances.
All my shooting is done with Diopter iron sights (appart from my pest control). -

Personally I find the 'BSA Professional Foldaway Target Holder' very useful.. simple and quick to erect, and stiff paper targets just simply push into the top notches and can be changed in seconds, can be supported by itself, or folded out to stick into the ground.. very robust metal too.. think I paid about £8 for mine, so I'm not complaining as it fits nicely into my gun case pocket to take any where
