My car is a 2006 Hyundai Coupe 2.0 litre SE in Metallic Blue. That at the moment is in need of a wash!

I also have an old banger Rover Montego 2.0 litre diesel! Embarassed Still runs pretty well but moves like a.... TANK!

A magnificent 1.4, 2001 Skoda Fabia Classic - get past the badge and it's a brilliant car - also now has the great distinction of being a 2006 ReviewCentre award winner! Very Happy

I think the most 'difficult' car I have driven was the Ford Capri. I had four altogether, the best being the 2.8i.

The front end was very heavy compared to the back end so it would skip around corners. Easy to lose the back end on these cars, and in the wet they were lethal if driven too fast around corners! I saw my life flash by a few times, but luckily never crashed one! We weighed the back end down in an attempt to get better road holding. It worked a little but you always had to remember to exercise a little caution! On the straight these cars would burn off virtually anything on the road.

The Police used them for a while but as the road holding and handling of the car was so tricky they stopped!

Many a Ford Capri was written off or crashed, there are still a few about but not many!

And yes. I will admit it. I was a little girl racer once! Embarassed

The funniest car I ever drove, many years ago, but I must point out very strongly it did not BELONG to me (!) was a Fiat 126. It was teeny! I felt like Noddy driving it! Embarassed

I always wanted to see what it was like trying to drive a bubble car. Wearing shades and a disguise of course! Those little things were really odd! They had no reverse gear and the door opened on the front. So if you drove it into a garage or against a wall, and were a little too close, you could neither reverse or GET OUT THE CAR! Laughing

Am in the process of restoring my recently acquired Volvo 1800 ES. Not much of a bargain and not much of a treasure trove either. But, hey, not all that is gold does glitter. Right? Anyway, my car know-how was decent. Until I was caught in the complexity of restoring an old car. Folk at www.swedishpartsshop.com, a Volvo parts dealer that I approached, were trying to help and offer me an ostensibly impressive array of parts choices.

They are nice cars, yours looks like it's immaculate!

You never forget your first car, I think I would rather forget mine though! It was an old Vauxhall HA Viva. The brakes were almost non-existent, it had an oil leak, petrol gauge didn't work and it looked really shabby! It improved a bit after T-Cutting but the other problems stayed till it went to scrap yard heaven. But it was mine for a whole year. And I loved it!! Laughing
