If you are lucky enough to be going on holiday abroad, there are a number of things you should consider.

    Travellers Checklist

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website provides a checklist for travellers, including advice on money, travel insurance, tickets and visas.

Travel Advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office

--The FCO give travel advice on over 200 destinations. This includes advice and warnings on countries that the FCO consider unsafe to travel to, as well as country specific tips. You can also subscribe to receive e-mail alerts when travel advice changes. All of this can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website.

Health Advice-- The Department of Health publish useful information on staying healthy while travelling. You can find out what vaccinations are recommended before you travel, how to avoid health risks around the world, and if the worst happens, how to get treatment in various countries.

Always get the shots you need before you go away, and make sure you book at your doctors in advance, for example, my doctor has a ONE MONTH wating lsit for vaccinations!
