Is there a good cheap Italian Restaurant in Bedford?

My wife and I used to regularly eat out at Vesuvio Clapham, close to Bedford. The food was excellent, service good and the price extremely reasonable. And we could just turn up and get a table. The cost would be about £30 for the two of us for two courses & Coffee.

Now Vesuvio have moved to Sharnbrook and gone a bit up-market (also a bit too far away).

So we are looking for a replacement in the Bedford Area. The Pizzeria Santaniello is excellent for pizza, but we are looking for more a pasta restaurant.

Any ideas please
