City, no chance? Although id rather support them than the glory hunters down at OT. Ronaldo is just a waste of space. United fans have short memories when it comes to this man.
What will you be forgetting next, maybe that the Glazers have sold your club from under you??? Just a bunch of American Corporate Sellouts! -

Some interesting opinions you have there mprice
Apologies for associating you with Man City, I'd be pretty angry myself
I think brandishing United fans as glory hunters is unfair. Yes, there are lots of glory hunters, johnny come lately's and day trippers that populate Old Trafford but this is just common in modern football. Successful teams attract this kind of support and whilst I am against such support, it's hardly fair to brandish all United fans with this brush. I'm assuming the team you follow has not been all too successful in recent times and therefore you do not have such supporters in your ranks. Could I ask you something though, would you welcome success to your club if it meant attracting these kind of "supporters"? Or would you rather sacrifice success to keep this kind of "fan" away? There is no right or wrong answer by the way I am just curious
You say Ronaldo is a waste of space? I don't think he needs me to defend him but I think even the most anti-Ronaldo football fan would have a hard time convincing people that he is a waste of space. whatever you think of him as a person there is no getting away from the fact that he has scored 23 goals so far this season (think that's right, top of my head) and currently Premiership top scorer. For a winger that is pretty good going! He stands only 10 goals off a record set by the great George Best in 1968 (when we won the European Cup no less) being the winger who has scored the most goals in a single campaign for us. Now to be even mentioned in the same breath as Best makes you at the very least a pretty damn good player
Admittedly my memory of Ronaldo is pretty short, I have only known of his existence for about three years
However I do remember his debut, against Bolton if I am not mistaken, came off the bench and was incredible for the half an hour that he played! Saying that though after that game I was a little bit disappointed with him for the rest of the season as he didn't perform to that level too often. But he was just a kid after all. Nowadays I can honestly say I'm impressed with his performances almost every time he steps onto the field. Only thing I would like to see him do now is to step up to the plate against Europe's larger sides as I still think he has something to prove in Europe.
I'm not too sure what you mean by "Glazer has sold the club from under you". I wish he would sell the club the greedy **** (insert your own word). I despise the Glazer regime and what we have become as a result of it. From a personal point of view I have stopped attending games and purchasing merchandise while he remains at the helm. Does that make me a corporate sell out?
A bunch of American Corporate sellouts is an interesting one. I assume you refer to the fans here? Correct me if I'm wrong
I think it is worth pointing out though that in fact it was United's support who opposed a foreign takeover more than any other that has occurred and we were the result of a Hostile Takeover, which incidently means we never sold out, we were forced into it. In fact everyone else seems to have lay down and accepted it, even welcomed it in most cases. So technically your "American Corporate sellouts" would be Liverpool and Aston Villa. Coupled with your Russian sellouts Chelsea, Thai sellouts Man City and Icelandic sellouts West Ham United. I may have missed somebody. Am sure you don't support any of those however, otherwise your statement would look rather foolish
Hope I have enlightened a few things

Good Points. My feelings for Ronaldo are probably on par with yours for the Glazers and although I know well enough what a good player he is and i am not criticising his ability (which I also have to say has improved under Ferguson more than any other coach in the world would have been able to) I am critcising him as person, Im guessing you know the word which will appear next.....cheat! I'm not even going to bring international level in to this but you know aswell as anyone else that he is the type of player who can fall over if the wind picks up a bit too much!!!
Another thing while im on about Ferguson, another man who has achievements that speak for themselves but for some reason cannot admit to being beaten by a better team. If United lose it because they played badly not because the other team played well. And further to Ferguson remarks (or sign language was it) to Reading fans at the weekend can we all just question whether Wenger or Benitez would be allowed to get away with it. -

I doubt it very much
The fact that you don't like Ronaldo I doubt has hardly had much of an impact on your life. Unless he keeps you awake at night or something
Glazer's buyout of us changed a part of my life, it made me feel like I belonged to a bigger part of the world. Going to see my team play every week is now such a joy and I don't mind being priced out by people I knew, made me ashamed at what we had become and it made me think twice about figures who I'd come to respect like David Gill and Alex Ferguson, both of whom championed fan involvement at the club only now to of turned their backs on the comments that they made and instead criticise us for having views that they themselves used to share.
I do think your being a bit harsh on Ronaldo though, when he came to Old Trafford he did use to blatantly dive....for a couple of weeks until Ferguson gave him a good old fashioned slap on the wrist for it. He still does go down quite easy on occasion or attempts leaving his leg in but I think you will find so do 90% of players in top flight football
You should try attending non-league, much harder
I'm not condoning it however. It is a problem which has gradually edged its way into the English game with the increased number of foreign players over the years. Thats not to say it's only the foreign players who are guilty. I've seen plenty of the England internationals do it over the last few years. Ronaldo gets the biggest reputation for it simply because everything he does is hyped up by the media cos he sells papers. It was only a couple of months ago where he got booked for diving and it made the back pages, even though it was the wrong decision. Remember that incident with Lehmann and Drogba I think it was last season? Now that was comedy
You should maybe vent your anger at players who do that
Not sure about your assessment of Ferguson there. Call me biased but I always think he is pretty honest about losing. He certainly was after the AC Milan game last season. He normally credits the opposition. Not to sound arrogant or anything but we don't normally lose games unless we have played badly
I dunno what to make of what happened at Reading, all I have seen is a very poor still photo in a newspaper so can't really comment. Doesn't bother me though, I would rather our manager celebrate in front of opposition fans as opposed to just sitting there clapping. Passion for the game ain't it
I don't think he gets away with much to be honest, he is always in hot water with the FA for some reason or another hehe! -

You would do well working for Glazer you know. He admires the ability to manipulate and spin the truth to suit his own cause
For those of you watching at home, this is what I actually typed

Don't be daft!
Don't get me wrong I do that also
In fact I've just got back from there now! Voice is in a bit of a mess, ever tried singing the Man Utd calypso for 15 minutes straight? Ain't many pauses for breath in that one I tell ya
Am just ever so slightly against the direction that aspects of football are heading in this day and age. There are some right muppets running the sport in this country
Which reminds me I need to get outta this red scarf and put on something more associated with a Saturday night
Or at least something that will get me into a few bars

A quick joke for you:
What has Old Trafford and Space got in common?
Neither has an atmosphere! -

I've got another one:
Fulham 2 - 1 Villa
Plus I also seem to remember United fans vocally dominating at Villa Park in the FA Cup clash earlier this season
