I need a new phone

So which models should I be looking at?



I dropped my phone today, its the size of a house brick, with large buttons and a readable screen.

I'm old and use it only for emergency phone or texting, I have Vodaphone PAYG and call my house phone once per month to keep it active very rarely I need to add a couple of pounds to topup account.



Every time I go into a phone shop I'm totally bewildered by the array of models, most seem to be a media centre with games pics vids mp3 cinema surround sound and so on. I don't need that.

Most of the stuff you guys talk about on this forum seem to be beyond my skills.



A model just for emergency phone and texting is what I need, so with your special knowledge what models would you suggest?

Two suggestions up to now. Any comments on these Nokia 1100 and Nokia 1600 ?

Such as are they old or new models.
