HELP! Goodmans DVD home theatre

    Have just bought a Goodmans home cinema system MICRO1980DVD. It is all set up and was working great. On Sat night while watching DVD the picture disappeared but the sound still comes out of the speakers. I have tried all the cables but everything seems to be fine. As there is nothing on the screen i cant access the menu or the set-up functions. Can anyone help me? Have got my wee one DVD's for Christmas that he will want to watch but cant!

    hello.

    the same thing has happened to me. just wondering if you managed to sort your problem out. i have tried checking all cables etc... but like your problem, still have no picture and cannot access the menu to reset.

    i am now officially stuck !!

    if you did sort problem out, please let me know how to reset and get picture back !!!

    Eventually had to send it back to goodmans and they gave me a new one. Can say not had another minutes problem with it. The customer services guy was really helpfull and said it could not be fixed, and arranged for it to be uplifted and a new one sent out. Took about a week.

    thanks for that .... did you get in touch with the helpcentre..... as i have now lost my recepit also................. it just gets better !!! Shocked

    I called the number on the instruction book.
    They were very helpfull, although at first they did tell me that i would have to return the whole package (we bought the TV, stand, DVD and speakers) and i would have to go back to the place of purchase, but i called back again and spoke to a very helpfull guy who arranged for just the DVD player to go back. He did not ask for the receipt so its worth a try.
    Not had a minutes bother with the new one
