Any help or advice welcome!
I have just received a letter from Sony Ericsson saying my W900i that I sent to them to be repaired has been diagnosed as ' beyond Economical Repair ' due to fluid ingress contamination!
My poor phone! It stopped working when I turned it on and the screen lit up blue but no menu was displayed. I had to remove the battery to turn the screen off. As it was within warranty I returned it to them for repair but now Iv been told it has liquid damage which is not covered by the warranty. They said there is some corrosion on the chipboard which is too costly for them to even attempt to repair. I can pay £10 to have my broken mobile sent back or they will dispose of it.
Thing is, I loved the phone and it has never been water damaged in my care, never spilt a drop on it or near it. Do not understand how it could be my fault and beyond repair? If i get my phone back does anyone think it can be repaired? Should I get a second opinion? Has anyone had this problem with this mobile
Please help!
