after tickling my cat behind the ears when i was little (she loved this), it has started scratching at its ears very recently and wont stop. but today i noticed it had cut its ear because of all the scratching and there was blood all around her ear. i asked my dad to take her to the vet but he said leave her alone and she will heal on her own. So i trimmed its claws on its right-back paw so it wouldn't cut itself anymore

Was this the right thing to do?

Should i take her to the vet?

i am really worried about her, any help would be really appreciated

    thx so much

You are right, the cat should be taken to the Vet. He may have ear mites which the Vet can treat with drops. Best get it checked. You should never need to clip a cat's claws, there is a vein running through them which you could sever by accident, a cat should keep its own claws trimmed. Again if in doubt, ask your Vet.

    Hope this helps!
