My Bosch WFL2872 washing machine has suddenly decided to beep quite a few times at the end of the wash. Anyone know how to turn it off? -

When the machine is on, but not running, press and hold the "pre-wash" button. After a few seconds it will begin that beep noise, keep holding it in until the beep volume goes down and finally stops completely (5-10 secs). Once the beep has stopped, release the button and voila, no more annoying beeps at the end of your cycle.
To restore the end of cycle notification (beep) do the same thing as described above, but release the button earlier while the beep is still going. -

as I found this through searching for "Bosch washer/dryer beeping", here's some advice for the exxcel line of washer/dryers and washing machines: Page 36 or so in the manual!
- go to http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/ and find your washing machine/ washer/dryer, note down the product code
- go to http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/quick-links/customer-service/download-product-manuals.html and click to go to a different site to download the manual
- enter the product code
- download one of the offered manuals
in that document, search for "signal", and, in my case, it landed me at page 36. Also a nice-to-know: Childlock settings on page 35. Enjoy the peace and quiet! -

"Acoustic Signal" deactivation
I have the Vision 500 DLX series and found the product info here:
http://www.bosch-home.com/us/products/laundry/washers/full-size/WFVC6450UC.html
I clicked the link for User Manual which took me to Bosch's order management system for all manuals. Then I downloaded the manual as a PDF for my particular model (the "E-Number" can be found printed on a label on your washer just below the tumbler when you open the door).
Page 23 of the manual states:
"An acoustic signal indicates program statuses (e.g. start/end of program and operating faults.)
To deactivate the signal:
- Select a program (turn the wash selection dial)
- Press two of the Option Buttons (ex: Stain Removal and Allergy Rinse) and hold until a short signal is emitted.
