I'd just like to let everyone know that i found a website selling video games cheaper than anywhere else i have found called www.softuk.com. I was told about it by a friend who had ordered from them and have to admit i was impressed with the prices. I ordered 1 game for PS2 for only £4.99 as i am always cautious when purchasing from an internet supplier i have never used before. When i completed the order it asked me for a code to get free delivery as well. I didn't have a code because i had none of their information or adverts so i put in NDC007 which is the one my friend had used on his order and sure enough the game arrived the next day and i didn't have to pay for delivery. As well as that it said on the site i can get free delivery on all future orders because i used this code. It seems like this company have got a lot of good deals to offer anyone looking to buy software and DVD's and it could be one to keep an eye on because it looks like they are going to be giving the big companies and the supermarkets a run for their money if they can maintain these low prices. I will be placing more orders with them if this first experience is anything to go by and hopefully they will prove to be as reliable with future orders as they were with this. My friend has ordered a couple of times since and he said that there have been no problems and he got free delivery with each order so it looks like things could be looking up for the serious gamer.

    Hi,
I ordered from Softuk 2 games for my sons birthday. The games cost £14-99 and £29-99. They called me to say the £14-99 game was awaiting delivery to them and would I want the £29-99 game sending, I asked how long this could be and was told 2 to 3 weeks as a rule but certainly before Christmas. I asked for the £29-99 game to be sent and this was on the 9th November 2007. I used to be able to login and see my orders status but now it has gone completely and my bank has been debited with £14-99 and I have no goods. I ring them and leave messages or get engaged tone, I email them and get no response. Now this is the final straw. Terrible company.

Softuk.com have a customer service which is basically non existant.
You can try emailing but they never reply to them or you can phone them but you will only get an answer machine and they never call you back and even writting to their head office in Mayfair gets you nowhere.
So if you have any problems you cannot get it sorted out, so just prey when you order anything that it arrives in perfect condition and that it works and it is what you ordered in the first place because if it is'nt you might aswell throw it in the bin as you won't get it replaced or have your money refunded.

Avoid like the plague!! Customer and Service are two words that they have not heard of.
Expect to see them on Watchdog!

Yes they seem cheap but I've heard horror stories about them supplying imported/copied games. They take the cash from your credit card as soon as you place the order even if the items are not in stock. The only way to cancel or return an order is by phoning or emailing them & in 2 weeks of phoning them I've had nothing but an engaged tone or an answer phone. They have never replied to any of my emails. In short they are utterly useless. Don't believe me? Try ringing them up before you place an order...

I put in an order on 8/12 money taken immediately. 14/12 order still pending! I have emailed several times and phoned constantly after seeing negative comments ALL OVER THE INTERNET!!! Yes, I should've looked first but I found them via find-games so I presumed that they would be okay. Emails have been ignored and the phone is constantly engaged. After talking to credit card company and emailing softuk.com my order status has suddenly changed and some of the items have been cancelled.... Lots of people report getting 2nd user games or imports - avoid them and pay £1-£2 more elsewhere for peace of mind if you have any sense at all.... Merry xmas!

And isn't it funny how the satisfied customer who started this thread has only ever written 2 posts - both saying how wonderful softuk are...

My games did eventually arrive but my emails were never answered, the order tracking facility went off line `for maintanence' , and when the parcel did get here it was a jiffy bag that had ripped in several places and was badly packed. I doubt this company is `bad' I just think they aren't very organised and this is probably why customer service is poor. Maybe they are overwhelmed with more orders than expected this xmas? Not an excuse, but maybe a reason for terrible service...
I would avoid them in future, especially if I was in a rush for an item. However, if there was a major bargain on the site and time wasn't a factor maybe I would give them another go - just call me reckless! Wink

Like many others, I ordered a game on the 14th December, which was in stock and would be delivered in 24-48 hrs as a birthday present. The birthday is now gone and the game not arrived. They do not respond to the telephone or email, but have taken the money. If you try to order the game now they say it is out of stock
