Hiya, i am getting some new straighteners soon. At the moment i have Pro-Tech ones and they are o-k-ish for my hair. (i have thick hair.)

I have found some GHD wide salon straighteners for £69, should i go for it and buy them?

I have also found some Nicky Clarke Salon Standard Straighteners - are they any good??????? Or should i go for the GHDs?

    Thanks Very Happy

Before you do, have a look at the brand new ones out by 03. I got mine from www.hairbargains.co.uk. These not only look fantastic, but are incredibly lightweight and come with a Euro Plug (so no more need for travel adapters!). My hair has never looked so shiny!

I seem to have gone through most of the straighteners out there but at long last have just discovered a brand new range that has only just started selling in the UK. To be honest I originally bought them just because I absolutely loved the fact that they were so stylish and modern looking ( all white!) but having started using them I can honestly say that I am absolutely delighted with how my hair looks. Not only does it make my hair ultra smooth and shiny, but because of the ozone generator it eliminates static meaning that I can say goodbye to mad hair days at last.

I purchased mine from a Salon in London called Power Cuts (WC1) but I am sure they must be available on the web.

I can't comment on the brands that you mentioned because I haven't tried them but I have long, curly, thick hair & I used a different brand at one of my friends place and it was fantastic. The best I've ever used! The brand was called MARCOS. I want to buy one but I don't know where I can get it from. My friend doesn't know either because she got it as a gift. Does anyone know where I can buy one from?

I would go with ghd's they are seen as the best for a reason, I have had mine for just under a year now and couldn't live without them .

I got mine from http://www.salonlines.co.uk who are excellent.
