Corsa 1.0 ltr 99 Air flow meter.

Had this replaced on my vehicle but is still registering a fault in the ecu error logging.

When I replace the old unit it seems to work better than the replacement, although is still faulty. The new one when fitted seems to be 10 times worse. I'm not sure what to think. I sent the new unit back for replacement, but the returned unit still registered the same problem. The part was obtained from a dealer on ebay, and it is a genuine Bosch part. Do you think 2 units could be faulty? or is this dealer selling units that are no good? Strange the old unit works alittle better than the new! Crying or Very sad

Update on my above problem.I originaly had an engine light on with faulty EGR, Idle control, and air flow meter. Replaced parts but still fault on Airflow meter. Replaced with new one, at the same time as having other parts fitted above. Still fault. Put back old one, no engine light now, but still idle is near stall when hot. Disconnected Airflow meter to test run without connected, fault register straight away with near stall. Connect back up and runs with no engine light, but still idling much too low at juctions on breaking. This causes it to nearly stall before it recovers idle speed again.

Driving me nuts now. Obvoiusly air flow meter fault originaly must be incorrect. Any brain boxes on here with any ideas? Crying or Very sad

i know it might sound a little daft but have you put the airflow meter the correct way around because on the airflow meter there is a arrow on it and the arrow has to be facing towards the throttle body and not the air filter box hope this helps also check around the engine for any air leaks as this can bring a mass airflow fault up do this by spraying brake or carb cleaner around the air pipes or manifold if the engine revs higher you have got a air leak gud luk
