No worries. Yea your doing the right thing. you can shine it directly at them depends on how jumpy they are.
Your getting them 15 yards away? what do you shoot em with? a bbgun

AAA's. Crikey those don't half blow apart everything dont they. I use Rotweil cartrages for that. theres 9 slugs in each round and that takes down foxes almost every time. -

been out this evening with the 12 bore
had a phone call off the farmer to say theres a fox down the pond after the ducks .so off i went , got at the farm 1920 and set off down the track to the pond . with in walking about 75 yrds out pops mr fox and looked at me with the gun unloaded and made a sharp exit
so i went and sat down in the bank and rolled a fag and just waited around watching the ducks . 20 mins had past and nothing so i was just getting up to take a walk about the grounds when i saw a cub at the top of the field so i sat back down and waited
about 4 mins went on and 2 more cubs turned up from the hedge and started playing , i sat there watching for about 10 mins and i heard a call in which mum then come in
she come down the hedge row and started to come across to the duck pond and she called again , 2 cubs come down to her and they come right over to the pond in till they were that close i could off hit um with the butt
next thing bang bang mum and 1 cub down
the other cub ran into the hedge but the other 1 stayed up the top looking down to the pond, i rolled another fag and smoked it and the cub at the top was walking down the hill and come to see mum and bang another 1 bites the dust
i stayed there for 5 mins and nothing so got up and walked the grounds , to which i cought up with mr fox down on 8 acres and bang
set off draging him up to the farm and i seen the other cub but he went over onto other ground that i dont shoot
got back up the farm and locked the gun in the car and walked back down to get the others as we put them on the fire to get rid of them , on the way up i seen the farmer and hes over the moon there gone
happy hunting -

Well done mate. what you smoking? seems to attract foxes
Good to see people having success. I've never gotten the chance on a fox
but I will someday.
But for now an AA S410 is in the bag for me so I'm happy, should get a look at it tomorow and see whats what.
