Hello everyone I am new to this forum and I would be grateful if anyone can help with a problem that has me stumped.
My car is a 1995 UK spec Honda Civic 1.6 LSi and the ventilation is abysmal.
I have ensured the heater blower resistor is intact and the fan works on all four speeds, the fan supply voltage is a minimum of 12.54 volts without the engine running. Also all the operating cables are intact and working as they should.
My only other thought is a blockage in the intake tract, perhaps a blocked pollen filter (did they fit them that far back?).
My friend has the same car and his vents blow a gale out of them while mine manages little more than a gentle breeze.
As the warmer weather is approaching I would be grateful if any kind soul could spread some light on this problem.
Kind regards to all

Hello Foorqan
I should have posted the reply about the fix and I apologise for not doing so.
It is a simple fix and costs between £0 and around £6.55 if you're feeling flash.
Behind the glove box is the heater motor assembly which is connected to the trunking supplying the vents. Halfway along this (roughly in the middle behind the glove box is a pollen filter which becomes blocked.
Mine had been in for over ten years and when I removed it a good amount of leaves, dust and dirt came with it. A trip to the local motor factors secured a new pollen filter for £6.55 and now it blows so fierce it will make your eyes water.
I know it isn't easy following instructions without diagrams so I have included the link below to Honda UK's online workshop manual for the 1995 Civic.
The page you require for this job is
http://media.honda.co.uk/car/owner/media/manuals/CivicManual/pdf/21-19.pdf
and ignore the description A/C filter, it probably means air condition not air conditioning.
I am not knocking Honda because their English will be a damn sight better than my Japanese.
Incidentally the filter lid pulls down to remove and is a bit fiddly.
If you can live without the filter (I can't because the wife has hay fever) then the fix will cost you nothing.
The link for the manual is

Good luck and all the best.

Hello Tom
Thank you very much for replying with that quick and cost effective fix. The ventilation is excellent now...still cant believe it was just that. Thank you once again.
I don't know if you'll be able to help me here, but i have one other problem. When i fill petrol £20 worth the needle shoots up 2 just under full, what could be the problem there?
Thank You
Foorqan
