    Hi,

I have a 2001 Renault Clio 1.2 expression. To get to the biting point i have to bring the clutch right up and most of the time i keep stalling it. Anyway is the normal or is the clutch on its way out.

    cheers

    Hi

That's common in most Clio's i used to own one, same issue my sister has one(2002) same clutch again and my cousin had a 1997 model exactly the same type of clutch high biting point. Its stupid because most Clio buyers have just passed their driving test and new to driving but Renault insist on using this type of clutch. Iv been driving for 5 years now and still have trouble driving my sisters car. i would get rid of it and never buy an Renault again, even tho the clutches are better in Megan's and Laguna's but cause of my experience with Clio and making me look like a fool in front of all my friends when i was 17 i would never touch a Renault again hate them with a passion just because of my clutch problems with Clio's. Yeah, that's why you find that boy racers mostly have Corsa's, well round my area anyway, clutch problems are common on Clio's, even new ones, (my Dad's a mechanic)
