Need some help
i cannot get to the route of this problem and i have exhausted many possibilities can anyone shed some light please.
Basically was having probs with passanger wheel bearing so had that changed. then a couple of weeks back i stopped to pick something up and i noticed a lot of smoke coming from drivers side wheel the wheel its self was that hot
it melted the wheel trim and the cv boot and kinked the wishbone which i have now replaced i even replaced the brake calipers on both side incase they were sticking. But still excessive heat continues to come from the wheels. Now it is making me think if it is something to do with the abs either a faulty pump or it is malfunctioning causing the brakes to bind there fore causing the heat but i am not sure
so i would like some input to try and dissolve this problem. Today i am going to change wishbone on passange side and change the track rod end as it has seen better days lol ok look forward to your reply regards Mark aka severance

i had the same problem on a peugeot 205 and couldnt get the answer anywhere so after changing discs and pads a wise car breaker told me that the brake pipes can get broken down inside due to cheaper break fluids when this happens occasionally it can push fluid into the brakes and block it returning so that the brakes lock on and wont release .the answer is to change the flexi pipe going to that brake .
I tried it and that solved it for me i couldnt believe it was so simple
