Hi!
I have never used a permanent hair dye with ammonia because I know it is harmful for the hair. But as I have grey hairs I have tried to cover them with other allegedly ammonia-free products and now I wonder if it is really worth continuing this way.
The products I have used (such l'Oreal Casting, or henna - I think the so-called henna contained some sort of dye too) are probably no less harmful than the permanent dyes with ammonia.
Do you think using such products is really better than normal dyes or is it all the same? I am asking this because using permanent cream-dyes (such as that of Garnier) is easier to apply and they can also contain some nourishing ingredients to condition the hair.
