Toshiba SD-1200 no disc error

My otherwise faithful Toshiba player decided to go on strike and is now reporting "No Disc" even when I put in DVDs which have played successfully in the past. It wasn't moved or jostled or mistreated so I'm not sure why it's displaying this problem. It's about 4 years old (I think).



Has anyone had this problem before and is there anything I can try before giving up and getting a new one (I'm assuming the cost to fix wouldn't be worth it)?



Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
