Thats very good AJ! I was using an olympic airpistol worth well over £300 the other day, carbon fibre barrel, electronic trigger PCP jobby with hand selected pellets all done realy good.
I was really struggling to get 40mm groups. If you can get groups that small you should look into competative free hand pistol! -

With iron sights I started at 50mm......then added a scope and practiced and practiced and practiced. Been doing this for over a year.
The expert shooters can shoot 5mm or less without a scope. Without a scope I am in the 10 to15mm range mostly and some 20mm, but a lot better than 50mm. I really can't hit the 10 spot all the time without a scope, but the 9 feels safe for my abilities with a few 8s.
The key for me is the same gun, pellets and target range. It's in my basement so all the variable don't change. Any place else I would be doomed or have to use both hands or a rest. When I get tired and shaky I do end up shooting all over the place. -
