I was about to renew my contract with O2 when I had a look on the net to see what other networks were offering. This site came up on goggle, I was then able to find a better tariff, and get O2 to match it. Hopefully this will save you a few quid.

    Hiya,

Just wondering how you managed to get o2 to match a tarrif you found? I've been with o2 on contract for many years and have found that orange offer a text only of 3000 texts for £20 so i asked o2 if they could offer more texts (1500) and take my minutes off me, they said no go to orange!!

My o2 contract was £25 month but with my usage it was always approx £45-£50 so i wouldn't say i was a bad customer!

Did you just phone o2 customer services or did you write to someone?

    Thanks Confused

    From London,

most of the time when your contract is coming to an end, you can threaten them that you want to end your contract, say you don't use it as much as you think you do, then they will then transfer you to a supervisor who will always 99% offer you a discount on your line rental or give you more minutes. If they say they cant offer you a better deal then just leave., theres so many other offers out there why stay? you can always port your number. i use this site every year, because it compares prices over high street retailers and internet companies offering excellent deals. Take a look.
