That is very good indeed! I wish I could get out more with my shotgun! I used to be quite handy on the ol' clays.

Get shotgun licence, get shotgun, notify police that you have gun. Takes too long to explain. Police website will explain all.

Theres no law that states that you MUST have a cabinet, Just a safe and secure place to put it. I've known people to use a motor bike chain lock and padlock it to a rafter in their lofts for safe keeping. But keeping it under your bed isn't reguarded as "safe" A lockable guncase might be good eneugh. But generally its a good idea to get a cabinet because it pleases the police and is much better for keeping the gun safe anyway.

It's only a hassle if you want it to be. If you really want a shotgun don't let the annoying paper work stop you. If you do then the government has won in preventing people from getting firearms.

Clay shooting is targets really. And I suppose you could shoot shotgun prone at 25m on a 10 bull target. Guarenteed to hit the bull everytime! Laughing You could get great scores if the targets werent outwards scoring Very Happy

I've been hunting neighborhood squirrels in my backyard now for years. I hunt with a .177 Daisy powerline. with a tasco .22lr AO scope. Yeah I know, crappy.
This thing is dialed in and set up just perfect for me! I love it.(I must've gotten the only good one LOL)
The squirrels have figured out to stay the h3ll away from the birdfeeders and hang out 40-45 feet from the back of the house near the woodpile.
I got one lined up in my sights, atop a block of wood but I could only see his head through the tree limbs and foliage.
I adjusted the AO on my scope and aimed just below his ear.
Beleive it or not, I popped him right in the neck, most likely on the bottom of his skull because he didn't flop around at all?
I checked him and must've severed the spine with the shot.
I walked off the kill shot and it was a a few inches over 40ft!
It's not amazing that I hit him, but where I hit him. Normally, I can get the shot within 1.5 -2inches of intended at that range, but never have I put one right on, exactly!
I was also using Beeman silver arrow pellets. Due to the heavier weight, I've found better patterns at distance and on windy days. Also faster kills with the increase in FT/lbs
