Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie, so please forgive me if this has been covered before!
Does anyone know if there's any Official solutions, planned or excisting, for connecting an iPod to the ICE system in the new 2006 Civic??
When I sat in one at the showroom, I noticed that the stereo does have an AUX button on it, but couldn't find where the AUX In port was!!!????
I am expecting delivery of my 'Sport' model mid-march.
I know I could use a iPod transmitter, but I want something more 'Hard-wired' really.
Thanks for any help.
Mark. -

Hi,
I am also new. I have been very interested in the new Civic since I saw it at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005. When it came out, I was eager to ask the dealer the one question that I had (all the car magazines I avidly read told me the answers to the other billions!) - where's the iPod connector? The answer is that there isn't one. The car is very technologically advanced, but it lacks the one essential! However, I own an iPod transmitter and it works fine. -

The Aux position of the AUX/CD button on the new Honda Civic selects a path to an inbuilt (somewhere under dash?) connector for driving a Honda CD head unit (located in boot). Dension will probably support this unit some time in the future. Connect2 advertise a Civic compatible interface but this may be for the old model. Just ordered a 1.8 ES in silver, 6 - 8 weeks delivery though.
Hope the above helps -

I have the connects2 device, but it needs a bit of loom from Honda, which I have on order. As soon as I have the loom and have it all working, I'll post a "how to" on www.civinfo.com
Probably a week or so...
