you too, and nice posting back there. as soon as i posted that last post, i got what you meant, I'm just tired because the only time i have to come here anymore is lat at night on weekends. there is an 8 hour time difference between the UK and where i am, so whatever time this is posted, it am actually typing it in a local time of 8 hours before that.

Has anyone tried to return back to IE 6 after IE 7 installation?

I'm thinking to try it, but I'm not sure that my favorite password manager will work without problems with latest IE. (I like this PM because it works in FF too).

Recently I have installed Latest Media Player (10), but I didn't fount it good and fast, and when I tried to return back to MP 9, it tells me, that newer version of this software already installed. Sad(( So, now I haven't any version of Media Player except built-in 5th one.

So, now I'm very, very mistrustful to the new versions of Microsoft software.

I tried this on my XP home edition pc, but shortly after I restarted I had major issues, still not sure "what" exactly caused my problems, but I do believe that this was in some way responsible.. I Had major problems booting up to windows, as the system resource usage was through the roof!!, would take me nearly 5 minutes just to be able to open 'Windows task manager'. Evil or Very Mad

Did eventually manage to uninstall and somehow revert back to a previous stage, haven't risked trying this again, although others say it is fine. Anyway i'm truly fond of 'Mozilla Firefox', extremely easy to use, much safer as its not made by Microsoft (As Microsoft seems to be hated by a majority of people), there are loads of additional add-ons, and updates that can be downloaded to improve surfing pleasure. Very Happy

And you can now get rid of most of those annoying pop-ups, dare say this is also possible on IE, but seems easier on Mozilla Firefox! Exclamation All depends on what you like using - and if your acceptable to change!

Before you install anything major, and as a good rule (on a regular basis) Create restore points in "System Restore",so you can revert back to a previous time prior to an installation if you get any problems you can't seem to fix.

Also backup your files, either onto disks, or (what I have done) is to purchase an external HDD and use it primarily for backing up data off all my computers! - I have experienced a HDD failure and there's nothing worse than knowing you've just lost everything on your HDD that's taken you the best part of a year to collect, organise and appreciate!
