[B]Has anyone seen any of these cheap phones that are starting to appear over here from china/korea? A lot of them are appearing on ebay now, such as from user 'hongkongtoy' for example. On the face of it they look like copies of popular makes, but with slight differences. Anyone had any experience with these? Are any of them any good?
cheers

if you want a good phone, you are most likely going to have to pay good money, but you may not want a spectacular phone so do what you want -

HONGKONGTOY is an incredibly untrustworthy trader.
DO NOT BUY FROM HONGKONGTOY
The phones look and sound great on Ebay but in reality many of the features don't actually function. The build quality of these phones is poor.
Hongkongtoy has also been reprimanded more than once for falsifying positive feedback reports.
Also, the items for sale are not that cheap!!! -

My advice is to spend a little more money and either upgrade or buy offline from a shop.
This way you get a guarantee and customer service if the handset develops a fault.
The prices on e bay may be tempting but be warned.
If it sounds too good to be true then it most likely is.
Most are refurbished or locked off to networks or even worse blacklisted. -

I brought a China mobile off Ebay, the Kebaote K915, it has technology that just isn't available from branded phones by Nokia, Samsung etc... It has a built in TV tuner so I can watch TV for free anywhere I go. There's all the usual functions bluetooth, sms and mms, fm radio, camera, video and all the rest plus a whopping 2.6" touch-sensitive screen to watch them on. It cost me only £100 and came with both a warranty and customer support.
Don't fear the unknown people!
I for one highly recommend the China mobiles just beware who you buy off. Look for a UK seller offering these phones as you can always complain to someone. -

If you want a really cheap phone that works you might try picking up a prepaid one that you can trash later. These can run very low. Good luck. -

My advice just depend on your opinion of buying mobile phone
One: If you want a mobile phone that is beautiful and fashionble but only can be used about one year you can choose cheap cellphone, just like you said "hongkongtoy".
Two:If you want to buy a phone with good quality and can be used more than three years, I suggest you should not to buy cheap cellphone.
Three: If you want a mobile phone that can be used 1~3 years, and with beautiful and fashionable design i think you can visit this site:www.epathchina.com -
