Hello Mate
I was in a similar situation but spoke to these guys - The Home Loan Shop, they don't advertise heavily on the site that they sell mortgages but they do.
They sorted me out - maybe they can help you too.
Cheers

That's a possibility, but more info needed, see above ( www.loansuggest.com) .Another possibility is to reduce the loan size with the compo and surrender value and then use the endowment premium to overpay the i/o mortgage. That's a bit more flexible than a full repayment. Offsetting using the cash pile is another possibility, again using the endowment premium to overpay.
You can easily get quotes on the internet through the many comparison sites, and it's sensible to do so, as you can then factor that cost into the calculation.
You could also see what others think about the policy by trying to sell it through the TEP traders. If no offers, that's an indication it's a dud. -

Because you had a ccj doesnt mean that you will not be able to get a mortgage. There are plenty of lenders out there who take ccj's into account. However we need to take your whole situation into account. You can post your details on.

I live in a council flat and really want to get on the housing ladder. The thing is I had a CCJ about 3 years ago but since then my finances have been OK. Can I still get a mortgage?

Hello,
You can still get a mortgage if you have ccj's however to give advice on what sort of mortgage you will need it is essential that we know your whole situation so that we can give you the best advice. If you would like the best thing to do is to fill out the simple form on Mortgage Advice Center and we will then contact you to answer any questions that you have.
