I'm currently using Panoxyl AQ 2.5 (a type of benzoyl peroxide). It does work for me but i've read on several sites that it can be linked to skin cancer. Does anyone know how much truth there is in this claim? Also, as panoxyl 2.5 is the lowest form of benzoyl peroxide available, can this have any long term effects? thanx.

The use of benzoyl peroxide may also be affected by the presence of other medical problems. In case of medical problems like Dermatitis, seborrheic or Eczema then make sure that you your doctor about it. Also inform your doctor if you have red or raw skin, including sunburned skin because if you use benzoyl with these conditions irritation will occur.
