speakers for laptop

I have downloaded my ITunes from laptop to IPod, and use this with small speakers on my travels. But I would like to connect my laptop (via Airport Express - wireless) to a set of speakers for home use. Will my laptop be able to connect to decent hi-fi speakers of say 100 watts?



This would save me buying a new hi fi system, as most of my CD's and downloads are on the laptop.
