    Buy a new phone with a new number.Type *#06# and your IME number (International Mobile Equipment Identity Number) will appear. Write it down and keep it in a safe place.Next time phone is lost or stolen ring operator quoting IME Number and a block will be put on your phone preventing anyone else from using it on any network.
