    Hi All!

I'm considering to buy a new laptop soon but I cannot really decide which combination would be better for me.

The first variation is an Intel Centrino 2,0GHz + Nvidia Geforce Go 6600

And the second one is an AMD Turion ML34 (1,8Ghz) + Ati Mobility x700

I know that the Ati is a better graphics card in this situation, but I'm really not sure about the power of the processors.

The amount of memory is the same in both cases (512MB).

I have the feeling, that Centrino with this Nvidia card can last longer (battery-life) than the other one, but which one is more powerful?

After this I could consider what's more important for me; mobility or power.

    Thanx a lot

I recently bought a new laptop and I chose the AMD Turion and ATI 700 setup. It has 1 gig of ram, and a 120 gig hard drive with 64 mb dedicated video memory.

My experience so far has been fantastic! Very fast, and very efficient. I've never purchased a computer that I didnt crash windows in the first week at least once. It is an awesome setup.

My laptop was advertised as 3 hrs battery life but realistically it's about 2 > 2.5 hrs. It only lasted for about 1.45 when i was editing video, but that didnt surprise me. I only editied on the battery to truly test the system.

Here's a link to the one i bought:

    Hopefully this helps a bit.
