Yes you are correct theres nothing at all wrong with chinese bikes ,however as you so rightly have pointed out they need to be assembled by a fully qualified motorcycle mechanic . With the relevent technical knowledge and qualifications . I myself have 28 years expieirence in the motorcycle trade , i also have an onc in mec eng, city and guilds m/cycle ,factory trained ducati ,moto -guzzi ,suzuki .kawasaki ,mot tester . I also prefer to assemble all our bikes and scooters personally and provide customers with a full years warranty ,as you know if you buy off internet companies most only offer a 3 month parts only ,no labour . Warranty not to mention little or no technical help or back up . We let our customers decide . Further more to your recent comments this is forum is all kevsbikes orientated thats for the customers to decide purely and simply because people like the service we provide , mainly because we care :d :d -

Dear Oranabana,
Just stumbled across your message posted on the 7th of August 2006. I too have been wrestling with the idea of getting myself one of these “Cheap Imported Chinese Bikes”. I’ve been threatening to do so for the last 6 months and I think its now time to take the proverbial leap
Your message was posted in August’06 and so I thought you might be a seasoned Chinese biker by now. For this reason I’m hoping that you’d be able to put some of my worries to rest.
I read quite a few reviews and some seemed pretty good, whereas others were straight to the point and outright dismissive.
In a nutshell my concerns are …
** The bike might rust beyond what’s reasonable or perhaps even to the extend of it being un-roadworthy,
** That I’ll not be able to get decent and preferably cheap insurance cover,
** That I’ll not get spares for it in a few months from now,
** And finally that it’ll struggle on the Power- & Speed front.
I am well aware that people normally get what they pay for…and in this case the bikes aren’t hugely expensive. I do however expect a reasonable bang for my buck
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Rds,
Daniel. -

Hi daniel
i can only let u know about my bike its a Sanya and i've had it since August and have had no problems what so ever.
There's no rust on it and it has been out in the rain quite a bit
Don't know about parts cos haven't needed any yet but have been told that they are easy to get hold off also because its a Honda copy have been told that i can replace with Honda parts.
On the power speed front only really use mine for commutin and it does me fine, doesn't go that fast only bout 65 but suppose it depends wot your using it for
Hope that helps

Nothing wrong with my £550 Huoniao HN 125-8 copied from an Honda CM125 Exclusive.
I bought from LS Imports it came on a pallet, it cost £85 delivery and it also cost an extra £65 to reg and tax . I had to put the wheel and handlebars on. Luckily I can service it myself but its not hard and if you cant service it yourself, dont buy it this way.
I have had it 6 months and use it every day. Only problem, that most seem to get with this bike has been it cutting out in rain, easily sorted now I removed the side stand connecter. Bike is now 100% reliable.
Well worth the money. -
