Hi there!
I was wondering if the Crosman challenger 2000 is any good for 25m shooting.
It looks the buisness and i hear that you get 80 full power shots.
Is this gun good eneugh or should I consider the Air Arms S200T version.
I already have the standard S200 and maybe getting the sights seperatly would be a good idea. But this seems inconvinient and a second gun with dedicated open sights would be a good idea.
Many thanks:

if you realy wana go to town on the target rifle side of things look at getting a Feinwerkbau or a anshutz target rifle ive got a Feinwerkbau P70 and it is an incredable piece of kit mind you there a bit pricy. i use mine for 10meter standing competions and have also fired it prone at 25meters to good afect. the only bad thing about them is the price they start at about £500 and go up mine was £800 but it had loads of extras as im only 17 and still growing i needed weights etc -

I'm a seriouse shot but I just don't have the green stuff to get one of those. what are your thoughts on a target rifle at around £300? -

all the rifles, excluding the s200t, have horribly heavy triggers for something like 300 euro. for a target gun, 3 lbs is heavy, but you might be able to get away with it with your skill. personally, i cant shoot whatsoever with a trigger heavier than 2 lbs, but i complain more than i shoot half the time
the logic is that since its a beginning rifle, the beginners will place their fingers on the trigger while handling the gun. lawyers. i also hear the triggers can be creepy, as well. the s200, on the other hand, i've heard nothing but good about, and since you have one you should already be familiar with the trigger. if i were you, i'd just stick with the s200 and buy top grade sights. its a fuss, i can imagine, but if you arent alternating between compitition and regular shooting every week, i dont think it would be too bad. -

Thanks for the input and thats probably what I would have done but since then my .22 target rifle shooting has picked up immensly and I'm now a member of a club and shoot with cadets. I could shoot 4-5 times a week if I really wanted to but It would cost too much in ammunition lol.
With my FAC coming through this month I will be getting two of my own rimfires, One for sporting uses and one for Target rifle compeitions.
Are you a target rifle shooter too? because I know where your coming from with heavy triggers being rubbish! I like it when I can twitch my trigger finger and the Anschutz trigger does the rest. LOVELY!
