hi there people ...... i currently own a 106gti,i used to have a 106 1.1.
i was a peugeot tech for 5years...and yes i no pretty much all there faults but every car is different and on this chat thing its had to be right all the time as you crnt test drive them.....lol.....right then
cutting out ...coil pack, plugs is most common fault. but also check fuel filter is not blocked as they do like to pick some muck up now n then there is also a pressure release valve if you look at the fuel tank bottom right hand side you will see 2 pipes going to a whith valve these sometime block up an dont allow the tank pressure to change when you put fuel in or go round corners lol.... failing that check fuel pump sender unit is workin but thats normally non start although wen the pump is on its way out ..it stops pumpin n starts again... also theres a double relay which is a black box..situated under the ecu ....that turns the pump on sometimes i hav found the spring to have falln off inside causin the pump to cut in n out .....but the list can go on an on ....its normally coil pack 8/10 times yeah i no how bad it is for you guys wen you take your car in for a diag test n no bloody faults come out .....but thats how it is sumtimes and if theres no fault at the time then ya carnt diag the fault ....better to tell ta truth n say no faults found the try n guess int it ..... if i can help in anyway with anycar give us an email crazi-luva@hotmail.co.uk i live in mansfield area so if you live around this way then give us a call [mod edit: please do not give out phone numbers] .....we all get stuck from time to time so no matter wot car or wot job advice or fixin it giz a bell cheers jay -

i dont think the fuel pressure is the problem, otherwise it would have been found at the peugeot dealership! i do have a problem with my fuel though! when the car is cold, if you floor it the power drops off then there is a surge of power after! its the same for my friends 1.1! i have no idea what it could be
I have the same problem in my 1993 1.1... it hesitates during acceleration, and then surges after about 3seconds... weird!
have you managed to get to the bottom of the problem yet ???
