Has anyone actually seen an Eltax DV-251 dvd playe

are perpetually out of stock on both websites and seemingly don't exist anywhere else - not even on ebay or the manufacturer's website!

It's a shame because it seems like a really amazing player with a brilliant price.

I don't suppose anyone out there actually owns one of these things or knows where to buy one?

I managed to buy this player from specialreserve eventually. Firstly it was out of stock, then when they did have stock of it there was a problem with the shipment. It did however arrive and it works fine.

I bought it so I could view my photos and videos from my digital camera and it is excellent for that. However, I have started to use it for playing DivX's and mp3's. I am also considering buying an AV amp for it and I'll be able to get rid of my sony DVD player(which is good for playing DVD's but that's about all it will play).

That sounds good, I take it you're pleased with it overall then?

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago now from gameloaded.com and they then they didn't get back to me. I tried e-mailing them a couple of times and they didn't reply. Looks like someone just doesn't want me to have this DVD player... sigh.

I have an Eltax DV-251 that I bought from GameLoaded.co.uk. Unfortunatly they web site stated it played Xvid's as well as many other formats. However it does not

I'm now unable to return the DVD player as both gameloaded and special reserve (both the same company) has gone out of business.

As far as playing DivX files, the DVD player seems OK, its just a shame it was falsely advertised.
