    i have not heard of this company nor can i find any information on the laptop.

    Laptop PC, Mobile Scholar Superdrive

    Intel Centrino Mobile Technology Mobile Pentium-M 740 1.7GHz 2Mb cache - speedstep, 15.1" XGA TFT, 512Mb 333MHz DDR RAM , 60Gb HDD, DVDR/CDRW Superdrive, Modem, External floppy disk drive, Card reader (SD, MMC, MS). 3xUSB 2.0 ports, FIR and IEEE 1394 Firewire Port, TV-Out and external VGA port, Wireless LAN, Microsoft Windows XP Home, Utility pack, Kaspersky Personal Security Suite, Dimensions: 326x27x29mm, 2.7 KG, Li-ion 8 cell Battery max ~4. hours (same as academic laptop)

    i am getting this laptop through disability allowance and wanted to know what it looked like, gratefull for any info.

    Hi, no i didn't unfortunately.

    I spoke to the disability loan people and negotiated that i would buy a laptop of my own choice, they would put in the amount that this above laptop costs and i would put in the rest.

    Is there a particular reason?
    I would have thought this laptop would be somewhat outdated now.
