philips DVD recorder, video recorder freeview box

I have a philips DVDR 75. a philips video recorder vr830, a freeview box(Grundig with tv and vcr scart sockets. My television has av1 and av2 scart sickets I have not found Philips instructions or communications with them helpful.

Can anyone advise on the best configuration for this combination of equipment and what is possible in terms of recording digital and watching analogue and/or viseversa
