I have just impulse purchased the Medion sender from ToysRUs (£49). It took longer to open the packaging than install it and needed no additional cables or plugs. Quality and remote control is good. I have it controlling my Amstrad Digital box downstairs upstairs.

Get a Digisender DG200 from Argos. I've also seen them at computer fairs. They're probably cheaper there but maybe not so easy to return if faulty. No trouble with alignment (in fact none needed). They look good and picture and sound(through my surround sound system) are superb. The only trouble, which is common to all, is that it doesn't like microwave ovens and people walking in front of the signal can affect reception.

Got the AEI DG200 recently. Works with NTL(Pace) cable box. Set-up was easy after I realised the base unit of cordless phone was causing interference on screen. Problems: Varying degrees of inteference on sound and picture caused by bright areas on screen (usually with movies and adverts) causing a 'buzzing' sound and sometimes picture distortion. This was really annoying when watching 'Alien Ressurection'...with all that fluorescent lighting! A white screen breaks up totally. Has anyone else come across this problem?

I've just bought the Philips SBC VL1200 for £89.99 delivered.

Looks good quality and picture / sound transfer is excellent. However I've noticed a slight drop in quality having the transmitter between the SKY box and the master TV. Is this down to crud cables ??

Yeah have similar issues with Gigaair 2020. Remote control signal is being transmitted to receiver as led registers incoming info but only sometimes actually activates my Amstrad Sky box. And yes have to be 1 metre from transmitter (not ideal when lounging in bed - kind of defeats the object). Taking it back tomorrow. Any suggestions??

I just bought the aei digisender from argos and can't get the remote to be recognised by the sender, that is outside the sending equipment. I'm sending from a Thompson freeserve box and so will take back the AEI and swap it for a Thompson sender tomorrow.

This type of problem is always solved by some means of moving something. Phone the DigiSender helpline, they have recenty moved apparently.

    Hi

I bought the Digisender x2 from Argos the same as you guys, had no problems setting it up with Sky, great picture ect.

My Problem is my DVD Player, it is a Home Cinema Setup, which is fine downstairs with the speakers, but the volume output to the TV is virtually non-existent, and this passes upstairs just the same, so a bit miffed with that, didnt really notice till I tried to put it upstairs.

Ah well nice bit of kit anyway.
