Did you get anywhere with this. I'm looking into the same sort of purchase at the moment for a friend and would love to hear any reviews and recommendations. Can any of these products feed mutiple sources (ie Cable box, DVD; VCR)in the living room through one transmitter to a remote receiver and TV in the bedroom? Thanks

Argos do a decent one for about £80, and it was the only one I could fins a review for. Have had no problems apart from it is sensitive to mobile phones and occasionally if some people move about near the receiving TV (no idea why it only happens with some people; do they carry more static with them?)

Regarding ability to send pictures and sound, I have been very impressed with it so far; it will send any image source you like - if you are using a full AV amp you can decide whether to wire it to the output of an idividual source, or inline to the tvs input (the argos one is blessed with a scart pass through block) - if you use it on the final input to the tv, any source you chose through the amp will be sent up to the other tv - the only downside is you need double remotes as it has a magic eye to control everything from the second room - or buy a programmable one from the like of Richer Sounds; they are worth every penny!

the only down side to wiring it to the tv output is that you cannot watch a different program to the one being watched on the main tv as it runs from the amp output! If you drop it from the back of a sky box or similar, then one person can watch dvd or video while the second tv watches sky.

I am also looking to get a digi sender with multiple inputs, my problem is that I have a Sky digi box, VCR & DVD & I would like to be able to connect the video(Sky loops through the video) & DVD to the sender and receive all in the bedroom, is there any on the market ???

    Thanks

Not aware of multiple input senders, only multiple outputs from one sender - you could always get a parallel scart splitter to split it though and then send the output from there through the digisender on the way to the tv. Only problem is that your tv will then no longer auto change between video inputs, you will have to press the button on the parallel scart splitter yourself to determine either what the main tv displays, or the second tv in the bedroom.

Might be worth giving the manufacturer a call as they often have additional pieces of kit that can be used to achieve what you are looking for.

I'm looking for one myself. I see Philips do one (VL1200) which has two Scart inputs and two Scart outputs, allowing more than one source to be sent. Switching between sources is manual via the transmitter.

One review I read of the AEI digisender mentions that it uses a pass-through Scart adaptor which sticks out an extra 1.5 inches from the socket - the Philips has its pass through included in the device itself.

A bit pricey though-GBP99 at Argos.

Maplin are doing the GigaAir for GBP49 - might be worth a look.

The best Video sender by far is the DigiSender from Argos. I read all the reveiws before buying and when installed it didn't require spare scart and picture n sound quality was excellent!

I tried the Philips at first but coulnt get the remote relay to work.

To connect multiple video sources you can use the monitor out Av on the TV – if fitted

AEI have just sent me brochure on their video senders and they have got what I think must be the best but they say its not available for a few weeks yet.

Their X4 system has got a remote control with it so you can lay in bed and select from your satellite, DVD, VCR as well as change the channels on just about everything it seems including NTL and Telewest codes... seems pretty wicked!

They call it the X4 DG400... get their brochure free from 01424 813222
