    Please can any one help!

We have an integrated NEFF dishwasher just over two years old, and it has been working perfectly until yesterday when it would not start, the “Check Water Supply” indicator is on and it sounds like it just keep trying to empty.
I have removed and checked the filter on the water supply hose, and also confirmed that the water supply into the filter has good pressure. There is also water sitting in the bottom of the machine and not emptying.

Any suggestion on what could be the issue and how/if I can solve it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Rgds

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for your advise, my plinth is not too easy to remove, but not sure if I need to as there is a metal grill in the bottom of the machine which lifts out, I then emptied out all of the standing water, I then restarted the machine and the same thing happened it fills the bottom with water and then starts to empty, I have also disconnected the waste pipe and help over a bucket and run the machine, and the waste pipe seems to be clear as when its pumps out the water is running freely.

So I seem to have water coming in and water being pumped out, but the machine does not start its cycle?

I spotted these comments today when I googled neff dishwasher problems. I have the same problem ie neff dishwasher wont stop draining. Followed the advice, dried out the base of the unit. I also took out the flexible tube - which is about 10" long with a rubber 'O' ring at either end, I replaced both. I checked water flowed from base of unit passed impeller etc. the outlet within the base which appears adjacent to the float switch, I could not see if was blocked or not. However, I reassembled the machine the pump appeared to work OK and switch off. However, about on hour later I noticed the pump was on again and wouldn't switch off. I took machine apart again and there was water in the base unit. I did notice that within the dishwasher itself when I took the filter out it was full of water. Is water supposed to be there? I took the plate covering the impeller and that was clear ie not debris - water was clear. Can anybody help? Many Thanks in advance

Have exactly the same problem on a six month old machine.. it basically will fill.. do all the swooshing and wooshing, but will not drain..Crying or Very sad

Emptied water... Taken impeller cover off, that's all running free.. output hose has no water in it.. and as far as I can see no blockage... drains into sink output so if that was blocked ...sink would be too...

....have dried it all out.. reset and set to rinse.. Goes through the program, i.e it fills swooshes and wooshed and wont emply.... At the very end I get the red tap symbol..

    Machine inside is spotless... Cool

..........so its NEFF call out on tuesday... not impressed..Sad

    pump failed..?

Well dishwasher all fixed and slightly red faced...

Dishwasher was fine, it was the exit pipe at the sink end was blocked... d'oh.. (even though there was no water in the exit pipe..).. one just assumed as it was that new.. kitchen installed 3 months.. that it would not be that..

This can happen when the drain pipe outlet is that close to the sink outlet, any fat deposits can build up in the dishwasher drainage pipe..

So before you all spend £85.. take your outlet pipe off from under the sink and see if it does drain into a bowl...

Now just have to interogate a teenager as to what has been tipped down the sink.. Mad

Nice work for Mr Neff though... Very Happy
