Large Fonts on Mobiles

Hi there

I currently own a samsung e700 but sadly broken so looking to replace it.

Is there is any phone out there that has larger fonts for texting. I am partually sighted so need a big bright screen but it would benice to find a phone with large fonts on them. Not that fussed abou tmake, model, camera etc.

Anyway ifyou have any suggestions please let me know so i can look up reviews onine etc.

Hi there. I am in exactly the same positon with my Samsung E700. My sister has a newer model, but the font is nowhere as clear as this one.



What did you get in the end?

In the end i went for a nokia 6630. the text is small but i found a piece of software called "mobile magnifier" which enlarges text so i could read it. sadly it is £90 so not cheap but means i can use any nokia smart phone with it, once you paid for it you can use it on any future phone.



It is a bit clunky but works ok for what i need, e.g. to read the text when texting. the actual menus etc on a nokia are quite clear and easy to use. other models it works with are the 6680, n70, n91 and bascially any "smart phone".

Hi there, pretty much like yourself I have a visual imparement and I am currently looking for a new Mobile phone!!! Yeah i know its not easy and not much fun.

I had an LG U??? in the past which i found was great, colour screen, larger fonts for texting.

Perhaps the best way forward in this one is to go along to a high street shop, and ask if you could perhaps veiw a few phones in the shop.

Also the RNIB do offer a phone that can cope with texting but i think the font starts around a size 20 but thats way to huge for myself

Hi

I am in Australia nd also looking for a new mobile, with large fonts preferrably. I had a Nokia which was good that way. I have heard of the added software but not seen it.

Any current updates to this ongoing issue???
