Hello,
I'm considering buying a low end scooter (50cc) for inner city transportation. I came accross Wildfire Motors, they have a warehouse full of boxed up scooters, and I've been thinking about getting the WF50-S2. This product is all over ebay, too. I can get my hands on one for about $800 shipped, with a 3-month parts warranty. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about these?
Thanks. -

I have been having so many problems with them standing behind their "free parts for 90 days" warranty. You have to pay for them first, pay the s/h to return and hope you get a refund. I have been trying to get a simple speedometer cable for 5 weeks now and still have not been able to get one. In the meantime they had me take apart the scooter and another piece got broke and they won't stand behind that either. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Protection Agency, & the Attorney General in regards to getting this issue resolved. Please do NOT buy a scooter from this company at all - warranty really stinks - look on ebay for people that have requested warranty work - they are all complaining about the same thing. Bad Bad Company!! -

First off, I have found out, you seriously get what you pay for... I was going to buy a wildfire scooter off of Ebay until I realized the local auto shop was selling them for a close price... i got roughly 1500 miles on it, last summer.. this summer it has spent the entire time in the repair shop... I have put $600 into it and it still isn't fixed.. The guys have been top cycle mechanics for well over 25 years and still haven't figured it out.. Tried to call Wildfire.. when I finally could get through.. sorry no repair manuals for these....Like anythingf, sooner or later it is going to break down.. What are you suppose to do then? In my case I am learning that difficult lesson... So if I had to do all over again, I would spend the money and go for name brand... It will definitely be worth it in the long run... -

Don't buy from Wildfire!!! They sell a ton of scooters and from what I have found theydon't stand behind their product. Service was a nightmare! Spend the extra money and get something eles and that you can get service for. I have had a scooter now for over 3 years and only have about 20 recorded miles on it due to the fact that the speedometer cable keeps breaking. I changed it 3 times and finally just gave up on it. Not that great of quality, very poor customer service and very hard company to work with!! -

i will admit wildfire was not a very good brand starting out. but now that they have a head quarters in Ohio it is very customer friendly. parts are easier to get and service is much better. -

We bought a used Wildfire in June from another individual. It ran great for 2 weeks. We actually put over 600 miles on it in that time. It only had 350 miles when we bought it. Then it quit on my husband at a stop light and hasn't worked since. There appears to be some problem in the electrical system causing the ignition coil to burn up. Wildfire Motors in Stubenville has been little to no help in fixing or diagnosing the problem. They can't provide a manual or wiring diagram for our specific model (which is only 2 years old). THey misdiagnosed it early on, ordered us a part that never came. After a couple weeks and 5 phone calls and many emails they finally admitted that it was backordered in China and might be in the US in about 6 weeks. I've read many reviews from people that love their Wildfires. But it's a gamble I don't recommend taking.
