Yes they are very powerful. the 5.56 accurate to 500 yards with our current NATO assault rifles and 7.62 can go well out to 1500 yards

It doesn't imply to my situation all I need for my needs is a nice hip holster with my 4 inch barrel .357 magnum 6 shooter. And maybe a single barrel shotgun in 12 gauge with either buckshot or slug rounds.

And my rifles are for the dire emergencies when I need firepower to stop many attackers.

you really think you're going to get attacked don't you. How often do you practice with your large caliber rifles? Do you think you could hit me lying down at 1000 yards? when I have my ghillie suit on and an L96-A2 with ballistic tipped ammunition. muahaha

lol, nice I can use my unarmed combat that they've been teaching me in the cadets. Can I bring an LSW along? (thats a light support weapon) type L89-A2 into Google and all will be revealed

no offence, but with a 6 shooter and a 12 gauge, isn't it hard to hit something that far away?

I will use a mosin nagant rifle in 7.62x54r which is equivelant to a 30-06

Or I will use a 10 round semiautomatic sks in 7.62x39 which is about the same as a 30-30.I might get a shotgun in single barrel break open or a surplus bolt action for around $100-$200
