ESI 1996 hatchback advice needed

any words of wisdom about ESI hatch's would be greatly appreciated, wanted a vti for the performance but i could do with some half decent economy!!! anyone got any idea of what kind of mileage to expect and performance? also anything to look out for when i go to see it later...

Go for a Vti you won't regret it! Not much difference in running costs. I know, as i've owned both.
