Has anyone ever used this stuff? It's something like an antibiotic I think. I used to take this stuff, but my dermathologist told me not to continue taking it after 3 months.
But someone told me that it can't be harmfull even if you take it all the time because it's a "mild" antibiotic.
I was wondering if anyone has a clue about that

Hi there, minocycline is in the "tetracycline" groups of antibiotics and I have been taking mine for nearly 6 months now.

My GP said that people can take it long term and I know he is happy for me to continue taking it as he says it cannot do any long term harm.

It has cleared my skin (with the exception of the odd flare up) however I have put on about 14lb in weight which I am soooooooooooo not happy about this and can only put it down to these tablets as I haven't had any other changes.

    xDx

I was on it for 5 months and all it did was give me yeast infections. Embarassed It destroyed all my "good" bacteria. My derm. said it didn't do that, yet my gyno said it did. After my derm pushed for me to get on MORE antibiotics, I knew to trust my gyno more.
