SL65 Data Cable etc

I'm hoping that someone out there can help. I bought a USB Data Cable for my Siemens SL65 mobile so that I can transfer my photo's from the phone to the pc. I have installed the drivers and Mobile Phone Manager software but the pc keeps asking me to connect the phone even though it is already connected. I have contacted Siemens and they sent me some twaddle about software that had nothing to do with the phone to pc connection. It was for Photo Editor on the phone lol. I have even done numerous searches but cant find an answer. Please help because I've been at this for 2 days now and its driving me nuts. I have to get this one working before I can install my hubby's one for his Sony Ericsson. Thanks for your time.
