    Hi Everyone:
I planning on coming to Thailand very soon but a little worried about the situation over there. I mean is it safe and all that? Anyone there now?
I'm thinking of going to first Bangkok and then down south to Samui Island and Krabi. Is there any problems there with insurgency like in the south of the Phillippines? Or do you think it is better just to stay away from these places and head instead to Pattayya and Koh Chang in the east?

Thanks in advance for any informattion.

I went to thailand last summer and looved it! I mostly got to know bangkok but next time I would like to see more of the country. If anyone is travelling there you should check out this site, it gave me a good overview of the country:

I also recommend combining a thailand trip with some of the surrounding countries, like laos, cambodia or vietnam
